Do you do both plumbing and gasfitting?
Yes, both, from one business. That covers taps, leaks, burst pipes and hot water cylinders on the plumbing side, and califonts, gas fires, gas hot water and gas lines on the gasfitting side. Where a job involves both, the same person handles the water and the gas.
Do you do emergency or after-hours work?
No. We work business hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30 to 5:30, and we do not do after-hours callouts. Inside those hours we respond fast. If water is going somewhere it should not, turn it off at the toby by your boundary and ring us. If you can smell gas, your gas supplier comes first.
Do you do drainlaying or blocked drains?
No. Drainlaying is a separately certified trade in New Zealand, and Steve is registered as a plumber and gasfitter rather than a drainlayer, so we will point you at one instead of taking it on. If the problem is on the plumbing side of the boundary, we can handle that part.
